Our Google News Alert from yesterday suggested that in America charities are suffering because of falling bingo profits (down by 28% between 2006 and 2009) however in the UK is seems that more and more online bingo brands are choosing to donate to worthy causes. A prime example of this is the charity game at Costa Bingo that takes place on 2nd January 2011 at 10pm.
Costa Bingo have promised to donate 20p for each player that buys a ticket in the game to the Action for Children charity up to a maximum of £500. Tickets for the game are just 1p each so if 2,500 players bought just one ticket each then Action for Children would receive quite a hefty sum.

Tonight BBC1 will be airing the Children In Need program so if you are looking for your favourite soap then you will have to wait. Sunny, the mascot of Costa Bingo, is looking very spooky under the Trick or Treats tab from the lobby at Costa Bingo as he dishes out a cauldron full of treats to players who have deposited in the previous seven days at the site.
